Biography

Assoc. Prof. PhDr. PaedDr. Anna Kucharská, PhD has been active at the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Education, Charles University, since 1995 and currently holds the position of Vice-Dean of the faculty. Throughout her professional career, she has gained extensive experience in the field of school counselling, having worked, among other roles, as a school psychologist and family therapist in a pedagogical-psychological counselling centre.

At her home department, she is the guarantor of the follow-on Master’s degree programme in Psychology, the Doctoral programme in Educational and School Psychology, and the lifelong learning programme School Counselling Services. She has long been dedicated to the development of a network of school counselling facilities within her methodological and conceptual activities in cooperation with the National Institute for Education. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Gramotnost, pregramotnost a vzdělávání (Literacy, Pre-literacy and Education) and a member of the executive editorial board of the journals Pedagogika (Pedagogy) and Psychologie pro praxi (Psychology for Practice). She has also held numerous positions within the faculty, including Vice-Dean for Student Affairs (2009–2020), and since 2020, she has served as Vice-Dean for Accreditations and Quality of Educational Activity.
